Rudy bought the 1934 Ford 5-window out for the last drive with the current Merc Flathead in it. Its been off the road for a couple of years. Well it made it to Macs before the radiator top tank split and chundered its green fluid into the alternator (yeah thats right… alternator… not generator!). So he got his trailer and the misfits loaded it up. An expensive load up as he shouted the helpers dinner – thank you for that.
Back at his place when the key was turned there was no action from the starter. A direct jump didnt make any difference. Removed the starter and the spring on the starter motor had twisted itself up and was locked (hard to explain cause your thinking, but its a spring its already twisted. Well this was twisted sideways… kinda). So it seemed there was a couple of issues. That motor must have been really pissed off that its getting replaced by another flattie. Rudy disappeared into the the parts basement and returned with a rebuilt starter. Put it on and the old girl whirred into life. Now its ready and waiting for the new motor….
